Join us at The Forge, Monday, March 25 for Des Moines’ first-ever Dribbble meetup! ??
Whether you have two months or twenty years of experience, as a working professional in the Des Moines community your opinion and input is valuable. Come talk design, get inspired, and enjoy some friendly, creative, hands-on design competition.
Oh, and did we mention free food, beer, and swag to boot? (Thanks, Pillar Technology!) ??
This event is free and open to the public, but we are capping it at 40 attendees. However, as this event will be serving alcohol, participants must be 21+ to attend. Sorry, youngsters—your day will come!
///HANDS-ON CHALLENGE
Design Challenge: The challenge will be revealed during the meetup, but it will be something you can use to post your first Dribbble post on! After we all vote, a prize will be awarded to our winner! :D

///ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS
/Wes Merrill Wes is an entrepreneur turned designer in Des Moines, IA. Wes graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2016 with a BA in Marketing and a minor in entrepreneurship and also serves on the board for UNI’s John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center. Wes works with companies all over the U.S providing graphic, web, product, and UI/UX design services, and also works full time in Grimes with Imagetek. Outside of work Wes enjoys working on side projects, Netflix, and daydreaming about how amazing his life would be if he had a dog.
/Lauren Matysik Lauren identifies as a designer, storyteller, advocate, and ice cream connoisseur. Post-graduation from Wartburg College as a double major in Graphic Design & Fine Art, she has had the pleasure of using her work as an avenue to effect positive change in her community. Whether she was creating liberal-snowflake paraphernalia at RAYGUN, in-game content for sassy “soccer grandmas” at Hatchlings, devising opportunities for underserved populations at the Des Moines Bicycle Collective, or diving headfirst into the pool of UI/UX design at We Write Code, Lauren has always focused on building bridges and sharing the importance of empathy and equity through design. Her life is amazing because she has a dog.
